How far in advance should I schedule my move?

The earlier the better. 2-3 weeks out is what we usually prefer, but if you plan on moving during summer, at the end of the month, or on a weekend, please call sooner to ensure availability.

What happens if I need to cancel my move?

If a move is cancelled on the same day, a 1-hour charge will be applied. If the move is rescheduled to a later date, no extra charge will be applied.

Do I need to empty out my dressers when moving?

No, you may leave clothes in your dresser drawers. We recommend removing anything that may be breakable. Dressers and furniture will be padded and shrink-wrapped for protection, which is included in your move.

Is Falcon Moving licensed and insured?

Yes, we are fully licensed, bonded, and insured to complete moves throughout the entire state of Georgia. Our USDOT is #3154170 and our MC is #891972. We carry a Household Goods movers license in the state of GA.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash and all major credit or debit cards. There is a 3% fee for credit card payments.

What types of moves do you handle?

We handle moves for apartments, condos, houses, townhomes, storage units, labor-only moves, staging, packing, unpacking, and junk removal.

What happens if my belongings are damaged?

Is a deposit required?

Yes, we require a $50 deposit to reserve your moving day.

Do you charge a flat or hourly rate?

For all local moves, we charge an hourly rate and a travel fee based on mileage. Long-distance moves (over 50 miles) are priced with a binding price based on the weight of the items being moved.

How much should I tip my movers?

Some customers tip 20%, while others do a per-mover amount. A “good tip” would generally be $40-$60 per mover, depending on the job size.

Can I arrange a move without me being there?

You will need to contact our office regarding this before your move day. Ideally, we always prefer for someone to be there when the move starts.

What does Falcon Moving not move?

We do not move guns, ammunition, live plants, or any hazardous materials. We also do not move grand or baby grand pianos. Due to our insurance, we do not move any item weighing over 500 lbs.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

There is no charge for rescheduling. We work 7 days a week, so you can schedule your move on a day convenient for you.
